2017 --> 2018

Happy 2 0 1 8!

Clearly one of my goals this year needs to be "be better about blogging," but missing a couple months worth of posts is totally okay when you're too busy having fun, right? Let's see what's happened since I last wrote... I biked the 2017 Seagull Century with Brad and Uncle Michael, Sam PASSED THE BAR, we went back home for a wedding and Thanksgiving, went to San Antonio to see the Christmas River Walk, I went home for Christmas, we went to Palm Springs for New Years, and then jetted off to Denver to see some family. This was probably the most times I've been on a plane in the span of a month ever, but it was all incredible.

I'm so excited for the New Year and all the new adventures to come. Starting it off by traveling to two new places wasn't a bad beginning! I'm also excited to set new challenges/goals for 2018... half marathon anyone? If I type it out that keeps me accountable, so you heard it here first. In the meantime, it's nice to be back in a routine, but every last second of the trips back home and getaways across the country were well enjoyed. Here are some of my favorite pics I snapped. I hope you all had a fabulous holiday and are starting 2018 off amazingly if I haven't gotten to see you!

Seagull Century seemed like a BREEZE after our 246 mile ride to Deep Creek in July!

Last year we took Shiner to meet Santa, so we had to step it up this year with the next best thing- The Grinch! I wonder who she'll meet next year?

Christmas time in full swing with the whole family and the most perfect tree!

We got to stand by the sides of some of our most favorite Texas friends as they tied the knot!

We couldn't think of what to do for New Year's so we decided on a whim to head to Palm Springs for some WARMTH! But don't be fooled, it did get quite chilly there once the sun went down. But look how pretty!

One of our first stops was Joshua Tree National Park where we did some hiking, touched some cacti, and soaked up the fresh desert air.

For NYE, we went to a concert near downtown Palm Springs and saw The Plain White T's (think the song, Hey There Delilah) and watched them drop the palms of this colorful tree.

We also took a trip up the Palm Springs Tramway for a casual 8,000 ft climb. See that little car hanging on those cables? That's what we were in.

All smiles before I realized exactly how high we were heading and exactly how scared I am of heights.

Luckily the top was gorgeous (can you see the fear on Sam's face?!) and we even had lunch on the top!

While this gorgeous photo looks like it could be of Palm Springs, this was actually taken on our trip to Denver from Lookout Peak!

Reunited with Aunt Doris (and much more the fam) after about 16 years!

So like I said, quite the whirlwind over the past few months, but we created some pretty special memories. I would say I'm sending ya'll warmth wherever you are, but somehow Dallas reached 20-degree weather this week. I can handle the cold (not really, but I can pretend) but I've gotta admit that it is so much better when it's cold and it snows and you get snow days.

More to come soon!
xo, Kendra
